Oh my gosh I slept so deeply last night and this chamomile tea is part of the reason why. The peace that I feel in the morning after a night like last night is something else. Since fixing my sleep in the last year or so I usually wake up happy, dancing and refreshed, but the dreaming that came with last night’s sleep was another level of good sleep. A big part of my good sleep routine is no meat five to six hours before bedtime, running the air filter in my room at night, leaving a night light on and making sure that I have something sweet like honey at bedtime or the sugar in this tea. Last night though I took Ray Peat’s suggestion and nibbled on something salty, olive oil chips, while sipping on this tea and taking on the phone instead of watching the television. I gave up television in September of 2022 as part of my sleep experiments and there was no doubt that television was counterproductive to a good night sleep, and the quality of my sleep as well. Just for the experience, and to attract a few bees, I grew chamomile from seed and they grew into the cutest little pot of flowers. I picked some a few days ago and hung a bundle upside down to dry and made my first tea with them last night. The smell just picking the flowers was incredible and the taste was so much more than store bought tea. After this experience I am planting a bunch more of it today!
