A Bright Life Inspired by Dr. Raymond Peat
This is a huge improvement from the 70’s pyramid that made America the sickest country in the world. How did anyone think that 6-11 servings of grain per day first before fruits, dairy and meat was healthy? I remember being in elementary school stressing out how I was going to be physically able to finish almost a loaf of bread or bowls of cereal a day to get to anything else.

It is better, but there is pushback, which is to be expected. The old pyramid has been ingrained into society for decades.
I do hope that this I not interpreted as a free pass for ultra processed foods consumption.
@J.R.L How would the new food pyramid make people eat ultra processed food? I see a lot of unnecessary vegetable before fruit, with dairy, meat , seafood and eggs, but the bread is nearly extinct on the new pyramid.

Given that there are many frankenfoods that contain the whole food components as part of their ingredient recipes there is a possibility for confusion as to what is meant by whole foods. An example of this would be roast beef. The beef one would roast at home is vastly different than the deli sliced varieties in the lunch meat areas of supermarkets with added phosphates water, and other binding agents such as carrageenan gums.
