@Cari I am not sure this is the best place to place this research.  It seems wood chopping boards are the best material for stopping the spread of viruses ❤️.

@Lollipop “It seems wood chopping boards are the best material for stopping the spread of viruses .“

I don’t like a wood board because it harbors bacteria. I switched to granite.

I completely understand @Cari especially with your experience!

BUT good news 🙂 I created a homemade wood balm that is antibacterial and anti microbial!! First, here is an image of my board.  In the next few posts I will put two research links about the ingredients I used in my homemade wood balm being antibacterial.

          Recipe:

          Wood Balm Recipe

*12 ounces – 1 pint refined Organic Coconut Oil from Tropical Traditions

*2 ounces Beeswax pellets from genuine bee farms NOT cheap paraffin wax.

*100 drops or 1 teaspoon- Lemongrass Essential Oil

*Melt in a double boiler on low and remove from heat before adding essential oils.

          *Stir well.

*Pour into glass containers or balm tin containers.

*Let cool down and harden for a few hours.

The statistic on this article you linked @Lollipop is shocking, 80%!

“Speaking at a conference in Copenhagen recently, Dr. Margaret Chan, the director general of the World Health Organization, stated that antibiotic resistance could bring about “the end of modern medicine as we know it.” Dr. Chan stated that hospitals have become “hotbeds for highly-resistant pathogens” like methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, “increasing the risk that hospitalization kills instead of cures.”2

Even if you are not taking antibiotics from your doctor, there is a good chance that you are getting plenty of pharmaceuticals through the foods you eat. 80% of all antibiotics sold in US go into farm animal feed. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration was sued in 2011 by a coalition of environmental and public-health organizations claiming the agency’s lax stance on antibiotic use in farming is leading to costly and potentially fatal infections in humans.3But by the end of the year, the FDA announced they would no longer try to restrict the routine use of antibiotics in animal feed, as it was too expensive. They decided to let the industry regulate their use of antibiotics in livestock voluntarily.4

Instead of relying on man-made pharmaceuticals for everything, many are now turning to natural methods to boost the body’s immune system and resist harmful viruses and micro-organisms naturally. Coconut oil is truly one of nature’s best “germ fighters.””

This doctor left a McDonald’s “Big Mac” out of the refrigerator just sitting on a shelf indefinitely and does not spoil it!

Who knew that “Off” bug repellent that we spray on our skin kills weeds better than “Round-up”?

Now why in the world would this organic saffron have this kind of warning label? If I hadn’t read all the package I would have bought it never knowing it had a problem.
