A Bright Life Inspired by Dr. Raymond Peat
what the —- is wrogn with people? why is everyone thinking grains are going to kill us and cause so many health problems? idiots.
how delusional or misinformed are people to think we can feed the world on fruit and red meat. how idiotic.
First off try to keep the language civil. There are ladies present in the forum who may not appreciate the type of expletives used in the thread title.
Second are you looking for a science based reason as to why grains are considered a less than ideal carbohydrate source. Or are you trying to defend a preference that you have?
um i think grains are basically what got humanity where we are now
some scientists even suggest around the time we got intelligent is when we involved amylase
im not one for preferences. i was eating loads of sugar and fruit and meat a few months back. dairy too.
wholewheat can be very peaty if we get over the fibre fear. loads of carbs and lots of vitamin e, copper, useful minerals etc…
if jesus ate bread why would we think its bad…
@questforhealth I am all for freedom of speech, but foul language like your title is not permitted on this forum. Would you like me to correct the title or just delete it?
you can change it sorry Cari
its just hard to contain the frustration you see with all this bad advice being thrown around on the internet… its like this place is good because somehow people just eat good old fashioned food and it works…
Cari red meat must casue frustration and anger. Haven’t felt like this in months. ate lamb today and I’ve honestly smashed my keyboard when I saw people being stupid on the internet and now I can barely type because it doesnt work
red meat just makes me feel rude, aggressive, depressed for absolutely no reason.
Thank you @questforhealth , I understand your frustration.
Grains today are not what they were in ancient times. They are genetically modified, with no long term data as to what the long term health consequences will be with regards to long term consumption.
Depending upon the country of origin they may have been sprayed with glyphosate and/ or atrazine. Glyphosate was originally patented for de liming boilers. The same effect is seen with regard to minerals being stripped from the soil as well as the grain.
Bayer purchased Monsanto. Glyphosate has been shown to cause lymphoma, ironically Bayer has a drug to treat lymphoma. I am sure this is pure coincidence, but it makes one look at this with a question of intent being at the heart of this purchase.
Atrazine has been shown to cause deformation in terms of androgen development and in frogs is known to feminize the males, and cause the males to sexually prefer males. Is this transferred to humans given todays woke environment?
Grains like all seeds are known to contain anti nutrients, phytates block the absorption of magnesium as well as vitamin A to name a few. So one needs to consider nutrient deficiencies and strategies to maintain the proper intercellular minerals in order to maintain proper Oxidative phosphorylation and in the case of magnesium the three hundred other reactions that magnesium is involved in the body. An example of this would be blood pressure regulation, cholesterol conversion to the hormones and enzymes, anxiety and depression are known to be tied to magnesium depletion.
If gut health is good certified organic grains might be okay, but if there are better choices available, I would personally make the better choice.
