I wonder if there would be any benefits in heating the tumour using a Far Infrared Sauna compared to the conventional steam or dry saunas. I am thinking in terms of the light being on the redder side of the spectrum possibly having some therapeutic benefits.
If memory serves Haidut hypothesized that by heating up the tumour there may have been a differation occur inside the cell causing a shift in the redox balance.

“If meat consumption in the US contributes to the very high cancer rate, it clearly isn’t the quantity of meat consumed, but rather the quality of the meat.” -Ray Peat

“The documentarian who only ate McDonald’s for a month has died young of cancer at 53”

“Spurlock made a splash in 2004 with his groundbreaking film “Super Size Me,” which was nominated for an Academy Award. The film chronicled the detrimental physical and psychological effects of Spurlock eating only McDonald’s food for 30 days. He gained about 25 pounds, saw a spike in his cholesterol and lost his sex drive.

“Everything’s bigger in America,” he said in the film. “We’ve got the biggest cars, the biggest houses, the biggest companies, the biggest food, and finally: the biggest people.””

“Although several amino acids can be acutely or chronically toxic, even lethal, when too much is eaten, tryptophan is the only amino acid that is also carcinogenic. (It can also produce a variety of toxic metabolites, and it is very susceptible to damage by radiation.) Since tryptophan is the precursor serotonin, the amount of tryptophan in the diet can have important effects on the way the organism responds stress, and the way it develops, adapts, and ages.”

This is an interesting quote, thanks for posting it Cari.

I wonder if anyone has any thoughts on the use of the supplement whey powder, used by many athletes as a protein source. In addition to being very high in tryptophan it is also in many cases sourced from companies engaged in modern day cheese manufacturing where vegetable rennet is used as opposed to the bacteria in animal sourced rennet used in traditional cheese making.

While not a food, Haidut posted that the drug Metformin induced extra cellular acidity by inhibiting complex one. This feature is also seen in cancer, inducing cellular splicing on the cellular level. Metformin was used in this trial in order to mimic cancer conditions in the test group. The substance being tested was an old stand by from our Grandmother’s day for helping you feel better. Baking soda at a level of twenty grams per day was found to acidify the inside of the cell and alkaline the extracellular space surrounding the cell, restoring normal cellular activity.
