A Bright Life Inspired by Dr. Raymond Peat
This sounds delicious.
@Cari your cooking and food combinations are stunning!! Where do you get these ideas? How do you manage shopping for such a variety of choices? How do you manage quantities since you are cooking for one?
Thank you @Lollipop ! I just forage through my fridge and just invent things at the moment. Years ago when I would follow recipes I would have to buy more ingredient and have so many leftover ingredients that was hard to use up. Since living alone I just eat what sounds good to me using up whatever is in the fridge so I don’t waste this and that. I don’t always have everything I wish I had when making my meals, but I just make do with what I have. I am not afraid to just toss things together and see what happens. When I make something meant for many others I share portions with friends and family or I freeze some for myself for a later date.
@Cari interesting!! In some ways I do similar but prepare in my mind before food shopping on Saturday. I go shopping only on Saturdays as my job keeps me hopping and no time during the week – lol. This forces me to be more organized and use a list – then when I get there, I always see a few new interesting things to try – lol – can’t resist 🙂
I ordered a pork shoulder from Nourish Cooperative and plan and cooking next Friday night overnight in the slow cooker. My colleague at work showed me how. Super stoked. He told me this guy on You Tube had a simple recipe and great how to video.
