A Bright Life Inspired by Dr. Raymond Peat
The foods I make meals out of weekly that do not contain much if any starches:
Shellfish
Bison (small amounts of the heart and liver are included)
Eggs (found soy and corn free eggs and I eat 2 twice a day)
Dairy (Milk and lots of cheeses primarily. I have not craved ice cream in awhile which is interesting to me. Love ice cream)
Pasta sauce from biodynamic farm grown tomatoes.
Lots of orange juice. (I feel like I can have as much of that as I want with not issues)
Organe Juice Gummies
Sometimes I make my own Hollandaise Sauce for the bison.
Sweet tea (real sugar)
That is it in a nutshell.
I never crave any starchy foods such as potatoes.
Good idea about the bison!! Where do you find it @gawdawg? At a specialty store like Whole Foods or at a meat market or butcher’s shop?
The Bison I purchase can be found at Whole Foods or Sprouts Farmers Market. The brand is Force of Nature. I have also purchased directly from the company.
What I like about the two meals I posted above is that both have bone broth in them without any starch. The shrimp in the third dish is grilled so it has no fat and the sauce I made with half & half, instead of cream, and parmesan cheese It is a great evening meal that doesn’t ruin my sleep. The recipes for all three are on the RECIPES page.
Here is my recipe for shrimp cocktail…
@Zack Vegas I made some more starch-free meals for you Zack!
