A Bright Life Inspired by Dr. Raymond Peat
I figure this one is right up Cari’s alley. I’m thinking about going back to a no (or very low) starch diet, now that it’s spring. I was doing very low fat over the winter, and felt that things were getting difficult without rice or potatoes. But I was thinking of dropping them, and adding back in some of the really saturated fats (mainly, dairy and coconut).
Previously, I just made basically a “low carb” meal, and then would eat that along with juice. But I was thinking there might be a way to add some types of sugar into a main dish. Do you have any good no starch meal recipes that do this? Do you ever cook with pineapple, mango, banana, honey or brown sugar in a main dish, like chicken or beef? I guess a “Bioenergetic Orange Chicken” would be a great recipe.
Also, do you have any recipes that use coconut oil without starches in them?
I just posted one for you Zack, that I created today and boy was it ever good, Lamb & Beef Apple Sage Breakfast Sausages. Go check it out, and I will come up with some others!
@Zack Vegas
Have you looked in my RECIPES and MY EVERDAY sections of this website Zack? I pretty much post only starch free recipes. I also post different stuff on my INSTAGRAM @raymendeat
I have, but it’s been a while. Need to search that section again.
I make egg omelette’s with some cheese and maybe a bit of meat and serve with blueberries and sometimes peach preserves on the side. Super yummmmy 🙂 @cari has inspired me!
Also, we make “burgers” with adobe seasoning and sea salt with manchego cheese (small amount) on top and we pair with a fig and lemon marmalade that is delicious!
Let me think of more @zack and I will post later.
Smoked chicken (with pecan wood) sautéed with butter along with shiitake mushrooms, onions, and olives (only red wine vinegar, sea salt) Occasionally I add in halved grape tomatoes. I serve with quartered radishes and sugar bee apple slices.
Deviled eggs – I use champagne mustard, crème fraiche instead of mayo, fresh chives, paprika, sea salt. I serve with slices of beef bresaola.
Thank you for letting me know this Lollipop. I will look into this.
You’re making me smile Lollipop!
Aaaaawwwww…thank you 🙂 My husband and I do love the carbs substituted with sugar carbs – is really yummmmy and we both actually feel better…and satisfied – not hungry…
