@questforhealth In my experience, herbs have helped my get healthy!!  You might not have to wait until you get healthy.  I am not a fan of  enemas so can not help you there, but there are plenty of resources to learn about herbs and incorporate them into any healing regime.  Just a thought…

I don’t really feel a calming effect from most herbs because I feel so awful from iron deficiency

Sorghum leaf tea hasn’t been helping me fix my iron deficiency probably because I was copper deficient, even the iron tablets I had weren’t helping.

I don’t know about enemas I don’t think I would ever do that  I’m not a massive hippy

I will try my sorghum leaf brew again once I get my copper levels up because you need copper to even absorb iron in the gut. Every night I feel sick from zinc poisoning because of what Charlie said to do… frustrating

I am growing fruit, but I am also learning that the leaves offer as much nutrition as the fruit, like Ray Peat boiling kale and drinking the water.

“…grape leaves are incredibly nutrient-dense. “For starters, research shows that grape leaves have high levels of antioxidants compounds from flavonoids and phenolics, which can be anticarcinogenic, antimutagenic, antiatherogenic, antiallergic, antiulcer, antimicrobial, antiarthritic, and anti-inflammatory,” she says. “Grape leaves are also packed with vitamins, including vitamin K, important for bone health and blood clotting; vitamin C, which promotes iron absorption, immunity, and tissue repair; [and] vitamin A, essential for cell growth regulation, healthy eyes, and bones, and immune function.”

In addition to those three essential vitamins, grape leaves also contain loads of gut and bone benefits. “The leaves contain fiber, which is important for gut health, regular digestion, and blood sugar control,” Silver says. “Grape leaves also have important minerals that promote bone health, like calcium, magnesium, and manganese.” Finally, Silver adds that the “mighty” leaves contain iron, B6, riboflavin, folate, and copper. Talk about a mic drop.“

“Although chamomile is best known for helping with sleep, it also helps soothe upset stomachs, which many people suffering from hypothyroidism complain of. Additionally, one Greek study shows that drinking 2-6 cups of chamomile tea each week might help decrease benign and malignant thyroid disease.”

I’ve been eating cottage cheese wrapped in nasturtium leaves… Somehow I crave them but they  dont grow fast enough

its surprising how nutritious even some weeds or random plants you find in the garden are…. just wish my potatoes would grow faster really

i love to piss off my mum by picking flowers and  throwing them on top of cottage cheese and eating them… mmm

I’ve been taking iron tablets and my life is getting better. I am going to try ONLY sorghum tea for the next week to see if it keeps helping me feel warmer just like these iron tablets? I must have got my copper up to start absorbing the iron now.

If things keep improving with the sorghum that shows its a very good herb and that herbs are good. If not I’ll go back the synthetic route.

This is a very expensive herb! I had to pay £40 pounds for enough to fix me up!!! But these iron tablets feel like they raise my blood pressure among other things so idk not so good.

Does anyone here think its reasonable to say herbs can do the same without any side effects? I have found that true usually

What is really starting to frustrate me is that when you read the science

                  REALLY READ IT in DEPTH

It confirms that what people knew intuitively for centuries is true, yet  our society is turning away from natural medicines when in reality the science shows they work just as well?

It almost puts me off wanting to study science. I’m currently facing a big decision in my life. Pursue education or not…

What is going wrong with our culture? No seriously? Does anyone else notice this???

@questforhealth I am uploading photos from my phone just fine. Push on this little triangle/circle icon shown below. Try uploading one at a time at first. It may require me to approve it so just let me know if I don’t see it right away.

I’ve not consumed any in awhile, but I do enjoy the Spring Dragon Tea by Dragon Herbs. Other than that, orange juice and watermelon juice are amazing. Also an afternoon coffee with milk and sugar.

Chewing on hot peppers helps my mild heart problems from iron deficiency. Really helps me if I’m short of breath? Pretty nice.
