Georgi did an interview with the farming sisters. Very good, as usual. The lead sister is getting to be quite a strong interviewer and Peat explainer.

This was a good interview proving that PUFA’s not sugar feeds cancer. I knew Ray said sugar wasn’t the problem and even said that stopping sugar consumption altogether could make cancer worse, and yeast infections as well he said, but I did not know that cancer can’t even use sugar. Cancer growth is an energy and inflammation issue which is why not ingesting anything, but optimal foods is so imperative. People don’t even consider the chemical laden skin care products and beauty products that go directly into their bloodstream or fluoride and chlorine from showers and baths, additives in food and supplements as feeding cancers either. It is my imaginary world that I feel like taking a sick person to a deserted island stocked with easy to pick fruits and to catch fish and huts already made to wake up with the sun with other old-fashioned things and there would be some miracles happening there.
I’ll post this here, hat tip @J.R.K., for completeness. There is some discussion in the comments that this is not a new interview; it was done about a year ago. I have not figured out if it has ever been posted on Youtube before. Why would they have waited a year?
Someone in the comments implies Danny will not be interviewing Georgi again. Please gentlemen, mend your fences. You two are two good guys in this mess. Don’t let the creeps win.
I see that Jay noted in the comments that this was recorded in November 2023. It is unfortunate that the rift between Georgi and Danny happened. Maybe in time the wounds will heal <span class=”atwho-inserted” contenteditable=”false” data-atwho-at-query=”@Lil”>@Lilac</span>. 🙏🤞
With that being said the information is still quite valid, and worthwhile being aware of.
Can someone explain what happened? What rift? I am extremely busy with work and have no time to follow up. @Lilac @J.R.K. Do either of you know?
It apparently stated when Haidut did some podcasts with Dr. Mercola. Mercola said he didn’t recommend the current version of Progest-E, and listed some problems he noticed. It was clear this was only Mercola’s opinion, not Georgi’s. Georgi didn’t clarify anything about Progest-E, based on the podcast transcript. Apparently, that was the public trigger. You can find the thread with transcript from the old RPF on the renamed Low Toxin Forum. Or, you could listen to the podcast. Georgi did announce a few months later that there was peace between him and Roddy, but there haven’t been any podcasts with both of them on since. After seeing the transcript, I didn’t think it was much of a big deal. Dr. Mercola apparently joined RPF, and clarified some things, but seemed to be attacked by some forum members. He only made two posts.
I really didn’t see much basis for a feud based on the transcript. I did think the RPF members treated Dr. Mercola very poorly, although it wasn’t clear it was the real Mercola until after he made his first posts. That was part of the reason I started to get away from that forum. An overall sense of negativity that had been growing for a while, and that was something I didn’t want to contribute to. Funny thing, just a few weeks after all that, all the bans started happening, and it basically turned into the Anti Vitamin A/Grant/Garrett Smith forum. I still see that same negativity popping up on the LTF, while a lot of that same negativity migrated to the Bioenergetic Forum.
Whatever you think of Dr. Mercola and the Mercola brand, it does have a much larger audience than the forum ever did. I think that’s what Haidut really wants to do, expose the main ideas of the Bioenergetic model and Ray Peat’s ideas to a much larger audience, rather than keeping it a niche thing. Mercola seems to offer a good forum for that expansion.

Amazing, sounds a bit shortsighted on Danny’s part.
Mercola’s interview is not the forum to pushback on Progest-e.
In my opinion, much more important to get metabolic energy as a foundation for health out to all of those Mercola low carb, keto, carnivore followers. Debating about Progest-e is a niche detail for a small group. Go after the bigger win.
IMHO, Danny got too emotional about his perception that Georgi failed to defend the reputation of Ray and Progest-E. Georgi was in the middle of an interview with a high-profile doctor. Georgi probably wasn’t analyzing the nuance of what Mercola was saying. And even more probably wasn’t in the mind-set of someone expecting to argue or debate. Georgi deserved the benefit of the doubt from a friend. Georgi’s track record is stellar. He is the premier spokesman for Ray Peat’s body of work and current research. He sell supplements, but I truly believe he is doing it to improve the world. He does not do the hard sell. He often has told people how to make your own mixtures or suggests substitutes.
@Lilac I 💯 agree with what you have written. Danny, in my opinion, was out of line and displaying a lack of support for Georgi, missing the bigger picture.
Georgi is spending his own money to fund research that supports Ray’s theories. He is putting rubber on the road at his own expense. He is by far a “premier spokesman for Ray’s body of work”. Well said!
