@DozingAnt “I recently purchased the aspirin tablets Danny Roddy suggested (perhaps Cari can link her powder source?).”

Here is the one I have been using Ant…

I think aspirin may lower copper and cause grey hair and similar things. Also  lowers iron.

This study indicates that aspirin would help with the acceleration of gray hair. It is so easy to get copper anyway from red meat, liver, chocolate, oyster and other places…

“The purpose of this study was to examine whether the hypocholesterolemic effect of aspirin is to due to its antioxidant properties. Oxidative stress was induced in rats by feeding them a copper-deficient diet. Copper deficiency reduced the activity of the enzyme superoxide dismutase (SOD) and lowered liver copper concentration but elevated liver iron. The combination of reduced SOD activity, high liver iron, and low liver copper resulted in an oxidative stress assessed by increased liver lipid peroxidation compared with copper-adequate controls. In addition, copper-deficient rats exhibited elevation of blood cholesterol. The administration of aspirin lowered both liver lipid peroxidation and blood cholesterol. It is suggested that the hypocholesterolemic properties of aspirin could be due to its ability to reduce oxidative stress.“

Cari Red meat is low in copper, you can become anemic from eating red meat because it has too much zinc. Its the organ meats  like kidney and liver you need because they have copper. Too much zinc will lower your copper then you dont absorb iron as well and it leads to all sorts of problems. Im currently taking copper supplements and eating copper rich food and its difficult to get the copper levels up you know

The Role of Zinc, Copper and Calcium in the Etiology of the “Meat Anemia”

“Meat anemia” of mice seems, therefore, to result mainly from the presence in meat of insufficient amounts of copper accompanied by an excess of zinc, the effects of which are accentuated by a concomitant lack of calcium. Genetic factors determining the particular sensitivity to zinc seem to play an important role as well.

Thank you for catching that one Quest. I had not ever heard that red meat causes anemia. Here is a copper  source I did not know about…

“Shiitake mushrooms are an excellent source of minerals, including copper, with 1 cup supplying about 20% of your daily requirement of copper. However, after cooking, this quantity increases to 1,152 mcg or 128% of your daily requirement.”

Thank you Cari for sharing about shiitake. Do you cook mushrooms for at least 2 hours to rid of the toxins?

Re aspirin, I tried Health Natura aspirin powder twice before but tinnitus gets louder.

I do not long cook my mushrooms. I did a few times and I love the concentrated flavor of them this way, but they gave me pain in my liver having them this way. I do slice them and put them out in the sun to soak up some vitamin D before using them.
