      It’s opening night. I wish you a big hit, rave reviews, and standing room only.

      I’ve been doing your low- to no-starch thing since the new year to deal with all that overeating in December, and it is working great. Weight loss with minimum suffering, no white-knuckling hunger pains. It took quite a few weeks to break that starch addiction. Man, it is powerful. Truly “the delicious devil,” as you put it.

      Lilac! I am so happy you are here! I am still working this stuff out for the next two days, so only a few know about this website “sneak preview”, but we made it!

      I am really happy to hear that you followed my advice on the weight loss and it is working! The no starch thing is really hard. I am creating a lot of recipes without them, and some are on my Instagram which is linked from here. I will focus on more of them for you! I think you should be the queen of weight loss here on this forum now with your own thread on how you are doing it. I’m proud of you girl!

        The show is in previews then. 🙂

        Weight loss, maintaining–it is all an ongoing thing, no? Up a little. Don’t let it get out of control. Sweets are always, always going to a temptation for me.

        I have the biggest smile on my face right now Lilac from that song dedication you posted for me on the RPF, that was pretty neat! I love your excitement, it is contagious!

          What is the no starch diet?

            @joannb

            Substitute sugar carbs for starch carbs in your meals. So orange juice instead of hash browns with your eggs. I think Cari has written about having a Coke with a hamburger (no bun) instead of fries, and I have done this at her suggestion. Ray Peat recommends carbs with protein for the protein to properly digest. Keep fat intake as low as you are comfortable with.

            That said, I have read  people report that after trying many things, they know they simply need starch–rice, sourdough bread, potatoe, whatever. I have done Peat for 12 years, and I’m still not sure what I “need.” I sure do love to eat starch. But I do think it puffs me up. Lowering starch drastically is still better (for me) than a low-calorie diet where I am hungry all the time. That is torture.
