I have a thread on the Ray Peat Forum about unusual remedies. I remember Ray Peat talking about pouring white sugar into an open wound which makes a sort of bandage and keeps the would dry so bacteria can’t grow. Here is another helpful bit of advice from him…

In 2022 I got a third degree burn on my leg from a hot motorcycle pipe. The skin melted off in a sheet. I immediately put Progest-E and Manuka honey on it . I did that for a few days and then after that I just put the Progest-E on it and I barely felt any discomfort from the experience. Progest-E is also very good for soothing bug bites. Interesting @Cari I have used Traumeel cream a homeopathic remedy – the original from Heel in Germany that is supposedly for muscle injuries. I have put it on bad burns as well and in seconds ALL pain is gone and it heals so quickly.
