Need to get more coconut oil into my DH!
I’m wanting to make a coconut oil-chocolate fat bomb like we loved in our keto days… except with sugar and no nut butters or choc chips. I have a homemade choc syrup, thinking about using that with coconut oil and fruit pieces and/or macadamia nuts. Freezing in a mold.
Does anyone else make these? I’d love a basic recipe I can tinker with, please share. Reading tons of keto recipes, lol.
I’ve used this recipe from Butter Believer in the past-
Coconut Oil Chocolate: The Ultimate Metabolism-Boosting Snack
It comes out very good, but you do have to keep it refrigerated usually, as the melting point for regular CO is so low. If you used Hydrogenated Coconut Oil, it will have a higher than room temperature melting point. Or you could mix in some Cacao butter, it’s very saturated itself.
I’ve also swapped out the honey for just regular sugar, it still works well.
i mix sugar, defatted peanut powder, coconut oil and salt together and used a good chocolate and melt it to make peanut butter cups.
