A Bright Life Inspired by Dr. Raymond Peat
What do you use to wash your clothes in the washing machine?
I use Tide. I know it’s not a good choice, but it does a good job. I use a small amount of the powdered kind.
I mix a pound each of borax and washing soda plus about a bar of grated castille soap. Use about a tablespoon for a full load. Splash of white vinegar as a fabric conditioner before closing the lid. Been doing this for at least 5 years and so far I am happy. I read somewhere that soap can be omitted but have yet to try it.
Using less is a good choice.
That’s good to know. It’s not that easy to get borax here in the UK.
I’ll investigate as to whether it’s advised with a sewage treat plant as were not on mains drainage.
I did a search on the old forum and found that Terra wash is used by many. I’d forgotten all about that. I’ve managed to get a pack. I’m going to try that. It can be used with a little of normal laundry detergent if desired.
I use this chemical-free magnesium pouch.
I have been using these same chemical wool dryer balls for a couple of years now…
