Ahhh…. I love Brazilian lemonade, I am drinking one now. The name is a little misleading being that it is made with limes, but it is creamy and refreshing and I love the intense lime flavor from the peels. A Brazilian lemonade is like a cross between a lemonade and Pina colada, it’s tastes like I’m on a tropical vacation.
To make one serving start by juicing fresh limes to measure a quarter cup worth and set aside. My limes were not super juicy so I needed three. In a blender add in a cup and a half of cold filtered water and the lime halves of one lime. Blend this for about a minutes until the lime halves are reduced to tiny chunks.
Strain this green liquid through a sieve and back into the empty blender. Add in 2 tablespoons of chilled sweetened condensed milk, a quarter cup of sugar and a cup or more of ice and blend until super smooth and frothy. Pour into a cold glass and enjoy! Below is my email to Ray Peat….
Me: “Per your recommendation, I have been using orange peels in many places are other citrus peels beneficial too?”
Ray Peat: “I think they are all good, as long as they are organic.”
