I should study this subject more. But I thought losing weight in itself should mean the liver slims down, too, and so improves function. Am I wrong in thinking that is a Peat take?

The Strong Sistas on Youtube had some recent videos on the diet and exercise program they both went on pre-wedding of one of the sisters. Each lost about 20 pounds in a few months. The program is geared to Peaty people. In short, we tend to eat a lot of calories and remain at a fairly stable weight because we have revved our metabolisms. But we also may have put on pounds improving our metabolisms, and those pounds often stick. The nutritionist had them cut calories, lose weight, then add the calories back in a controlled way–so they would not get stuck at a low daily-calorie level to maintain.

@JRK Re, what were Ray’s thoughts about the cause of high cholesterol. I cannot answer that off the top of my head, either. I would look at his site. Do any of the titles mention cholesterol? There is a search function, but I have found it not great. Second strategy, I would look at the Danny Roddy interviews with Ray on Youtube and see if any mention cholesterol in the summary.

I did not have allergies when young. But as the years pass, I have noticed sensitivity to things that were no trouble before. I tend to eliminate such foods now. Gone: mustard, barbecue sauce, some nightshades.

I heard something similar about RFK–concern he’s a washout or a traitor–but this commentator said something like “that’s not what he really said.” Did RFK recommend the MMR for all babies/children, or did he parse it more like “parents have to decide”?

Ok, I read RFK’s statement at the link. That Fox hedline is not what he wrote.

The “accurate information” part below sounds like throwing shade to me. Even if you don’t feel that, he does not promote MMR for all.

“As healthcare providers, community leaders, and policymakers, we have a shared responsibility to protect public health. This includes ensuring that accurate information about vaccine safety and efficacy is disseminated. We must engage with communities to understand their concerns, provide culturally competent education, and make vaccines readily accessible for all those who want them.”

I saw a post on X from Dr. Paul Saladino, who has gone all Peat. He was challenging some dude merching a particular brand of supplements that this dude was crediting with getting him great T levels. Saladino wrote, “Show me your labs to prove it. My labs are better without supplements.” (I’m paraphrasing.) It was ridiculous.

It’s good to return to Ray. His philosophy is timeless and universal.
