A Bright Life Inspired by Dr. Raymond Peat
Tagged: CO2
What are you doing to help maintain or increase CO2 levels?
The paper lunch bags I purchased expressly for bag breathing turned out to be much thinner and smaller than the ones I used in the 1960s. They make a ton of crackling noise when I breathe in and out of them. So I have gone back to just pulling the covers over my head and breathing for a few minutes (when I am sure I won’t fall asleep and suffocate, haha!)
The two biggest things would be nose breathing and breathing from the diaphragm, trying for a three to one time ratio on exhale to inhale times.
Taping the mouth at night is helpful if you mouth breath through sleep times.
Thiamine is also helpful as it is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor.
I’ve done the paper bag and breathing exercises but not covers over my head. haha. I might give that a go.
Recently I purchased baking soda. I’ve heard that is a good way to boost CO2 levels.
Has anyone tried, or read about, the combination of vinegar and baking soda..
which gives off CO2 ??
Thanks much…
Bob
I use the paper bag too but they definitely are thin and don’t last very long! I do notice the skin under my fingernails gets pinker if I remember to do it for a week.
Does anyone think things like a soda machine where you purchase CO2 canisters would be useful even though Dr. Peat says in the above video that we “burp” out most of it?
Any amount that goes into the body should be beneficial.
@Avoo72 Such an interesting combination and it appears to be quite popular. I saw this post that has potential benefits and it’s certainly in keeping with Dr. Peat’s CO2 quest.
Apple Cider Vinegar & Baking Soda for Losing Weight, Better Digestion & More
The only caveat I’m not sure about is that I think baking soda tends to lower stomach acidity so that might be an issue for digestion?
Tonic Recipe
In a shot glass, add 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda.
Pour two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar into the shot glass. Stir the mixture until the baking soda is thoroughly dissolved.
Slice an orange into eight wedges and set it aside.
Drink the apple cider vinegar and baking soda mix. The mixture tastes sour so it is recommended to drink it all at once.
Eat a wedge of the orange (or pineapple, or melon) to take the sour taste out of your mouth.
This tonic must be consumed three times a day, especially if you are experiencing water retention. Apple cider vinegar alone benefits to heart by clearing the clogged arteries, lymph nodes, and organ tissues.
