      Has Anyone tried the 30/30/30 method created by Timothy Ferriss in his book “The 4-Hour Body,” and made popular by biologist Gary Brecka on TikTok.?

      It involves eating 30 grams (g) of protein within the first 30 minutes of waking, and following it up with 30 minutes of low intensity exercise (walking, biking etc.)

      its suppposed to help you lose weight by regulating glucose and insulin levels, making you feel full in the morning hours…blah blah blah.

      However, since you CAN have fats and carbohydrates on this method, I’m wondering if the success people may be having is from the carbs early in the morning, along with the protein.  The exercise is helpful too I’m sure.

      any thoughts?

        That sounds very promising!  Keeping insulin and glucose stable seems to be a major factor in fostering weight loss.  Having protein early in the day to form a solid foundation for activities is part of my strategy, along with adequate simple carbohydrates to balance the insulin.  But my walking/exercise typically is done later in the day.  I’ll be very interested to hear feedback from your experiment with the 30/30/30 method!  🙂

          Ray Peat said this in an interview with Patrick Timpone:
          “Whenever you eat a big dose of protein without sugar to back it up, you’re going to stimulate the secretion of, first insulin, to dispose of the digested amino acids from the protein, and the insulin which properly disposes of the amino acids from the proteins, is going to lower any circulating glucose and tend to turn it into fat. As the glucose goes down that will drive up your cortisol. A high protein meal will cause a huge surge of cortisol. Some people become hypoglycemic because they eat too much meat unaccompanied by some sort of sugar or carbohydrate.”
