I am sure that PUFA is the cause of sunburn. I am a natural blonde and after my first year of avoiding PUFA’s I stopped getting sunburns. When Covid hit I ate a lot of things I shouldn’t have and I started burning again, that was my clue that I needed to clean up my act. I started a garden last year and was out in the sun sometimes for 8 hours and got so tanned, and never wore sunscreen or burned. I had to shorten my gardening days because I was getting too tanned. Now that it is winter I have to find extra ways to get vitamin D, so I eat extra egg yolk and put my sliced mushrooms out in the sun to absorb vitamin D. Mushrooms are fascinating. I discovered Lion’s Mane mushrooms recently, and what a little creature they are. I am posting my recipe today for the mock crab cakes I made with them.
