    Hi @Julie I started studying Peat in 2015 and was on the Keto diet while starting my Peat journey.  After five months of listening to Peat’s interviews, my husband and I were convinced to move in this direction.  The best decision diet wise I ever made in my life!!  I am healthier and stronger than I have ever been.  Keto diet – I did it for over 2 years tanked my metabolism and hormones and hurt my thyroid.  Initially, I gained weight because I did not adjust my fat down.  Also, I think my body was trying to heal.  Who knows what damage I did to my brain and body on Keto.  Over time that balanced out and I stabilized at a higher weight than on Keto – but I was too thin on Keto to be honest.  Now I am healthy and strong.  I decided to focus on gaining my health back rather than losing that initial weight gain.  Eventually it balanced itself out in my system.

    Good luck!  And you made the correct choice even though it feels like maybe you did not.  Also go to Haidut’s site To Extract Knowledge From Matter.  He posts a lot of research on all things Peat!  There are many articles about low carb, Keto, Intermittent Fasting, fasting being bad for the system.  The best part though is his commentary before he gives the research link.  Brilliant really.  Reading his posts has given me a strong education.

    Also Zack Vegas post from above is a good one as well!
