Update on the jumping regimen (five times a day, one-minute bouts: I got weight loss and increased stamina for two weeks. Third week the weight loss slowed, as did the strength and endurance gains. Into the fourth week, I sensed I was regressing on fitness. I was a bit spent by the third bout of jumping. Pushing through was not a great idea. I slowed the workouts, two one day, three one day, one. Today I did none for the first time. Just achy, and I think I need to recover.
So, it was an interesting experiment. Weight loss without calorie reduction, for a short time at least. But the jolting seems to take a toll on me. When I am feeling strong again, I will try two or three bouts a day instead, with a rest day once or twice a week and see how that goes. It might be a good maintenance program. I would not expect anything more than that.
It was easy to do. That was a big plus for me.
