“I’m pretty sure plant based diets are the best way to raise metabolism. I very clearly feel my body temp lowering if I eat beef or even milk. Thats why I come on here to talk about this.”
Is this the only metric you go by? First, if you are going to go by body temp after a meal, you need to realize that temperature is a huge factor. A cold glass of milk out of the fridge, or ice cream, will of course cool you down. Just like a cup of hot coffee will warm you up.
Long term results can often be different than results that occur after meals. You would really need some data over a couple weeks, say, two months of recording basal temps on an omnivorous diet, versus two months of temps on a vegan diet. The long term results might not reflect the short term results.
For example, taking a shot of vodka or some other liquor will raise the temperature of most people very quickly. This does not suggest that an alcohol based diet will raise basal temperatures in the long term, or is in any way healthy.
“I know that at some point in the future when I get fully healthy I will be able to prove that plant based diets work well.”
This is just speculation and prophecy at this point. Using a theoretical in the future as justification in the present. Odd that you think you will be able to prove this, when other vegan doctors (like Gregor, Esselstyn, and McDougall) never did, despite having doctorates and access to a lot of money and funding. In truth, it’s very hard to do something like this, as it would require a long term study (10-20 years at least), and very tight meal control of two separate groups. I don’t think such studies will ever be done, probably can’t be.
“i know peat spoke of soluble fibre and wheat is full of it.”
I think you need to go back and actually read what Ray Peat wrote. Yes, he did speak of soluble fiber. In fact, he always cautioned AGAINST consuming it, as soluble fiber feeds bacteria in the gut, and that leads to increased endotoxin and serotonin, two substances that Peat was not a fan of at all.
