I’ve never heard Peat recommend any sort of plant “milk.” They are all synthetic, man made products. In general, I don’t think he recommended any sort of manmade product or brand, as ingredients can vary, and brands can change their formula over time. Take French Fries. He is critical of the high PUFA oils, so wouldn’t recommend most French Fries made in restaurants with, say, canola or soybean oil, but would probably speak favorably if they were made with either Tallow or Coconut Oil.
Most plant milks contain some sort of gum or carrageenan, which he advised people to avoid. And as for soy….. are you at all familiar with Ray Peat’s work and ideas? Read the article titled “Natural Estrogens,” and you will know his stance on pretty much every soy product you can think of. Same goes for plant based “ice creams.”
If your inner guidance is telling you to experiment with plant based diets, then why don’t you just go and experiment with them? You don’t need permission or approval from any strangers on the internet. For example, I don’t think they are a good idea at all, but my opinion is completely irrelevant to your decisions.
